Franz showerk
Franz Duschk (born August 28, 1797 in Radowesitz , near Bilin in Bohemia , † October 17, 1873 in Csornkowecz ) was Minister of Finance during the Hungarian Revolution .
Life
Franz Duschk completed his studies in Ofen , Erlau and Pest and joined the Hungarian court chamber as an intern in 1819 . Until 1845 he was promoted to vice-president there. Although he was not revolutionary, he let himself be employed by Kossuth , who had taken over the finance ministry, in the first independent Hungarian government as undersecretary of state in this department and also followed the national defense committee to Debreczin . Under the Szemere Ministry , Duschk received the financial portfolio. He followed the government in July 1849 on their second escape to Szeged , where on July 29 the Reichstag granted him a new loan of 60 million. After the surrender at Világos on 13 August 1849 he handed the Austrian plenipotentiaries to about 5 million in gold and silver amount end state treasury . Since then he has lived in Hungary as a private citizen without being prosecuted and died on October 17, 1873 in Csornkowecz.
