Franz Nitschke

Franz Nitschke (born December 6, 1808 in Alt-Heinrichau near Heinrichau , Münsterberg district , province of Silesia , † April 23, 1883 in Rengersdorf ) was a German theologian and pastor of Rengersdorf from 1840. From 1855 to 1861 he represented the constituency of Glatz - Habelschwerdt in the Prussian state parliament . From 1881 to 1883 he was United dean and vicar of up to 1972 Archdiocese of Prague belonging Glatz .

Life

Franz Nitschke was the son of a vomit . After attending the Matthias Gymnasium in Breslau , he studied Catholic theology at the University of Breslau . On May 12, 1833, he was ordained a priest by the auxiliary bishop Joseph Karl von Schuberth from Breslau . He then worked as a chaplain in Markt Bohrau in the Strehlen and Berzdorf district near Münsterberg and at the St. Matthias Church in Wroclaw. In 1840 Franz Nischke became pastor in Rengersdorf. In this position he also worked as a district school inspector . From 1855 to 1861 he represented the constituency of Glatz - Habelschwerdt in the Prussian state parliament.

After the death of the great dean Franz Brand in 1878, a successor could not be determined by the Prague Archbishop Friedrich zu Schwarzenberg due to the regulations of the Kulturkampf in Prussia . For political reasons, the neuroder pastor Ernst Hoffmann was only appointed as administrator . Only in 1881 did the Prussian government, after further efforts by Archbishop Schwarzenberg, approve the appointment of Pastor Franz Nitschke as Grand Dean and Vicar. The appointment was made on December 31, 1881 by the Archbishop of Prague. Franz Nitschke also suffered from the aftermath of the Kulturkampf as a major dean. After a term of only two years, he died after a short illness on April 23, 1883 in Rengersdorf, where he was buried a few days later in the corridor of the church.
