Franz Rogg

Franz Alfons Rogg (born September 30, 1886 in Lenzkirch ; † March 19, 1966 in Wilhelmshaven ) was a German medical officer and dermatologist.

Life

After graduating from the Berthold-Gymnasium in Freiburg im Breisgau , Rogg began to study medicine at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich . In November 1906 he became a member of the Corps Transrhenania Munich . When he was inactive , he moved to the University of Jena and the University of Rostock . In 1909 he served as a one-year volunteer with the 2nd Infantry Regiment "Crown Prince" of the Bavarian Army . In 1912 he passed the medical state examination in Rostock and was a philistine with his corps . As a medical intern he worked at the Johanniter Hospital Heidenau and in the pathology department of the Rostock University Hospital . 1913 Dr. med. after receiving his doctorate , he joined the Imperial Navy in Kiel as a medical officer . At the beginning of the First World War he served on SMS Oldenburg . Most recently, he was naval staff doctor on SMS Blitz . After the war, he was divisional surgeon of the German Legion Kurland that made him 1920 for dermatological and Venereology education at the University Hospital Freiburg abkommandierte. In 1922 he came to the Wilhelmshaven naval hospital as a specialist. In 1927 he was accepted into the Reichsmarine as a naval officer . In 1931 he retired as a marine general surgeon and settled as a dermatologist in Wilhelmshaven. During Transrhenania's suspension, he became a member of the old comradeship "von der Pfordten" founded on June 19, 1938 . During the Second World War he worked as a squadron and naval doctor z. V. part. After the end of the war he became chief physician of the dermatological department of the municipal hospitals in Wilhelmshaven . After retiring, he resettled himself as a specialist in Wilhelmshaven. For many years he was honorary chairman of the Wilhelmshaven district office of the Lower Saxony Medical Association, the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians and the private medical clearing office . Rogg had been married since 1915 and had a daughter and two sons.
