Frederick Worlock
Frederick Worlock (born December 14, 1886 in London , † August 1, 1973 in Woodland Hills , Los Angeles , California ) was a British theater and film actor .
Life
Frederick Worlock started his career in Great Britain, later he went to the USA. He often embodied people of respect, many of whom were at the same time unsympathetic. He played this type of role z. B. in six films of the B film series with Basil Rathbone about the master detective Sherlock Holmes. In Chasing Music Boxes he played the gentleman criminal Colonel Cavanaugh and in Dangerous Mission he appeared as Prime Minister of a country called Rovinia . But he was also seen in supporting roles in bigger films like Spartacus and Schlagende Wetter .
He began his career at the theater in his home country in 1906. In the United States, he played on Broadway from 1923 to 1952 .
Overall, Frederick Worlock appeared in almost 80 films and over 40 television shows between 1914 and 1970. In addition, Worlock was seen in well-known productions on Broadway. He died in 1973 at the age of 86.
