Fredrik Holster (born March 10, 1988 in Nyköping ) is a Swedish football player . The attacking midfielder and striker made his debut for BK Häcken in 2006 in the Allsvenskan .
Career
Holster comes from the youth of Nyköpings BIS . As a teenager, he moved up to the squad of the third-tier competition team at the time, and was also appointed to the Swedish national junior team. In the following season he missed relegation with the team due to a league reform, but in his 17 appearances he had attracted higher class attention. At the turn of the year, the young national player joined the first division club BK Häcken in the Allsvenskan , with whom he signed a contract that was valid until the end of 2008. In the first division season 2006 he came to two short appearances in the Swedish elite series, from which the club relegated at the end of the season. However, even in the Superettan he hardly got beyond the role of the supplementary player.
In the summer of 2008, Holster moved within the second division to league rivals Väsby United . In the course of the season, the twenty-year-old established himself there in the starting lineup and scored his first three professional goals in the following season. In the summer of 2010, after two years, he left the relegation club and joined the second division GIF Sundsvall , where he signed a three-year contract to replace the migrated Mirza Durakovic . With two goals in eight games by the end of the season, he contributed to reaching the relegation place to Allsvenskan. There, however, the team around Jonas Wallerstedt , David Myrestam and Emil Forsberg missed promotion after two defeats against the first division club Gefle IF .
In the 2011 season , Holster became a regular goal scorer. With 14 goals this season he crowned himself on the one hand the club's best goalscorer, on the other hand he was a guarantee for reaching second place in the table behind Åtvidabergs FF and the associated direct promotion to the Allsvenskan. There he was no longer nearly as successful with five goals this season. The team coached by Sören Åkeby around Stefan Ålander and Kevin Walker was in midfield for a long time during the season, but slipped to the relegation place in the last third of the season. After a 3-0 defeat in the first leg against Halmstads BK , he was one of the scorers in the second leg alongside the two-time successful Simon Helg and Ari Freyr Skúlason , but the 4-3 success was not enough to keep them up. In the second division he was no longer one of the regular players, until the end of April he only came to a game. Thereupon he agreed with the association to dissolve his contract.
Then in August 2013 Holster moved to Azerbaijan to the capital club Rəvan Baku FK . There he did not get beyond the role of a supplementary player, until the turn of the year he played in five games in the Premyer Liqası and was then initially without a club.
Shortly before the start of the 2014 second division season , Assyriska Föreningen signed Holster for two years in March 2014. Under coach Valentic Azrudin he was a regular player right away, at the side of David Durmaz , Sotirios Papagiannopoulos , Robin Malmkvist and Christopher Brandeborn he took a relegation place at the end of the season . After a 1-1 draw at Gothenburg club Örgryte IS and a 0-0 home draw, he held the class with the club.
