The Freudenberg area is a landscape protection area of almost 1700 hectares in the area of the cities of Freudenberg and Wertheim in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg . It was designated by ordinance of December 18, 1979 (LSG number 1.28.005).
Protection purpose
The main protection purpose is the preservation of the diversity and uniqueness of the landscape as a place to live and relax and to secure the open spaces in the Main Valley.
