The Igersheim area is a landscape protection area of almost 500 hectares in the area of ​​the cities of Bad Mergentheim and Igersheim in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg . It was designated by ordinance of August 1, 1979 (LSG number 1.28.004) and is therefore one of the oldest landscape protection areas in the Main-Tauber district .

Protection purpose

The main protection purpose is the preservation of the characteristic landscape, the preservation of the open space between Bad Mergentheim and Igersheim and the protection of the area as a living and recreation area.
