Friedhelm von Notz

Friedhelm von Notz (born March 18, 1935 in Gießen ; † January 3, 2008 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German lawyer .

Life

Von Notz studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and in Berlin, where he passed his state examination in 1962.

From 1974 to 2000 he was managing director of the publishers' committee of the German book trade association . Before that, von Notz worked in the documentation for the magazine Der Spiegel in Hamburg. He was also chairman of the German Literature Fund , deputy spokesman for the German Literature Conference and chairman of the Labor and Social Committee of the German Cultural Council , where he had previously been particularly involved in the artists' social insurance working group . Most recently he was managing director of the compensation association for publishers at the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels.

Von Notz was buried on January 11, 2008 in Mölln. His sons are Konstantin von Notz and Börries von Notz .
