Friedrich Ernst Freiherr zu Innhausen and Knyphausen (* August 11, 1678 - April 4, 1731 ) was a Prussian chamberlain under King Friedrich Wilhelm I.

Life

He was president of the Brandenburg-African Company and commander of the naval battalion . He was also the governor of Fürstenwalde and heir to the glory of Jennelt and Visquard, and at times Minister- Resident of the Lower Rhine-Westphalian Empire . In 1711 he was Envoy Extraordinary in Copenhagen . Before that he was ambassador to various European courts: Spain, in Vienna with Emperor Karl VI. , France, Russia and Denmark.

family

His parents were the Prussian privy councilor Dodo zu Innhausen and Knyphausen (1641–1698) and his wife Hedwig Orianna von Frydag (1648–1694).

He was married to Charlotte von Ilgen (1702–1751), daughter of Minister Heinrich Rüdiger von Ilgen . The couple had the following children:

  • Dodo Heinrich (July 2, 1717 - July 16, 1719)
  • Tido Friedrich (born January 28, 1719; † 1780) went to Batavia
  • Oriana Luise (March 20, 1721; † October 7, 1791) ⚭ Peter Karl Christoph von Keith (* May 24, 1711; † December 27, 1756)
  • Hedwig Charlotte (* May 20, 1722; † November 15, 1804) ⚭ George Friedrich von Broecker (* 1727; † January 31, 1791) President of the Court of Cöslin
