Adam Friedrich von Wreech (born May 28, 1689 in Freienwalde an der Oder , † August 27, 1746 in Schönebeck ) was a royal Prussian lieutenant general . He was chief of the cuirassier regiment No. 3 and knight of the Black Eagle Order and the Order of St. John . He was also the governor of Himmelstedt and Kartzig .

Life

His parents were General Joachim Friedrich von Wreech and Katharine Amalie von Weyher. He was well trained and after his cavalier tour he was first chamberlain . From there he switched to the Prussian army and fought in 1708 in the Leibdragoner Regiment in the battle of Oudenaarde . During the war, General von Natzmer was an adjutant general . In 1713 he became captain and in 1714 he took over the governorship of Himmelstedt and Kartzig with royal approval from his father. In the same year he took part in the Pomeranian campaign against the Swedes in 1715/1716 . As early as 1717 he became a major and on October 18, 1719, a lieutenant colonel in the regiment on horseback Lottum , shortly afterwards he was colonel in the regiment of the crown prince.

On August 16, 1731, the Order of St. John at Sonnenburg accepted him into its circle. In 1736 he became chief of the body cuirassier regiment . In 1741 he was appointed major general and was assigned to the Gentin camp under Leopold von Anhalt-Dessau . In January 1744 he was made a Knight of the Black Eagle Order. In the Second Silesian War he was able to distinguish himself in the battle of Kesselsdorf . 1746 his request for dismissal were granted. He died on the day of delivery in Schönebeck on August 27, 1746.

He was married to Louise Eleonore von Schöning . She was the daughter of Johann Ludwig von Schöning and Juliane Charlotte von Dönhoff and was considered one of the most beautiful and learned women of her time. The couple had the following children:
