Friedrich Hesseldieck
Friedrich Hesseldieck (born February 7, 1893 in Gellershagen / Bielefeld district ; † May 19, 1991 in Niederhöchstadt ) was a German politician and Lord Mayor of Bochum from 1944 to 1945 .
Hesseldieck became a member of the NSDAP in 1931 . From February 1935 he was head of the district association of the NSDAP in Dortmund and thus significantly involved in the demolition of the Dortmund synagogue on October 18, 1938. In May 1940 he became Reichsamtsleiter at the " Deputy Leader's Office ".
Immediately before the liberation of Bochum by American troops on April 10, 1945, he transferred his office to his deputy, Franz Geyer . This fell to the task of handing over the city. On April 15, 1945, Geyer was arrested by the Americans and Ferdinand Bahlmann took over the official business.
