Karl Hahn (politician, 1846)
Karl Hahn (born December 1, 1846 in Staßfurt , † July 10, 1899 in Bochum ) was a German lawyer and politician .
Life
After attending high school in Magdeburg, Hahn studied law in Tübingen , Greifswald and Berlin . During his studies in 1866 he became a member of the Normannia Tübingen fraternity . He took part in the German War of 1866 as a volunteer and as a reserve officer in the Franco-German War of 1870/71. After his exams he became an assessor and in 1876 a district judge in Küstrin . In 1878 he became a paid city councilor in Magdeburg and in 1886 first mayor inNordhausen . For Nordhausen he was a member of the Prussian manor house . In 1892 he became Lord Mayor of Bochum . From 1894 to 1899 he was a member of the provincial parliament for the National Liberal Party in Bochum . The city of Bochum had him buried in an honorary grave.
