Tilmann Beckers (born June 25, 1887 in Homberg ; † November 3, 1957 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). In 1946 he was Lord Mayor of Bochum .

Life

Beckers was committed to the Evangelical Church and was chairman of the Bochum YMCA before 1933 . During the Weimar Republic he was a member of the CSVD city ​​council.

After the Second World War , Beckers was again active in politics. The director of BoGeStra joined the CDU and was again a council member of the city of Bochum from October 17, 1948 until his resignation on October 6, 1950. In 1946 he served briefly as Lord Mayor, but was not recognized by the British military government and was therefore replaced in his function by the social democrat Willi Geldmacher .
