Friedrich Horschelt (born April 14, 1793 in Cologne , † December 9, 1876 in Munich ) was a German ballet master and impresario .

Friedrich Horschelt worked in Vienna with his mother and three sisters from 1806 . From 1811 he was a dancer and choreographer at the Leopoldstädter Theater , from 1814 vice ballet master at the Theater an der Wien .

In 1815 he founded a children's ballet and directed it until 1821. This resulted in Fanny Elßler , Therese Elßler and Therese Heberle , among others . After the scandal surrounding the child molester Aloys von Kaunitz-Rietberg , he had to close his ballet on an imperial order. His son Theodor Horschelt became a battle painter .
