Friedrich II. († 1026 ) from the Wigeriche family was Count von Bar and Duke of Upper Lorraine .

He was the son of Duke Dietrich I († 1026/1027) and Richilde von Blieskastel . In 1019 his father made him his co-regent . After the death of Emperor Heinrich II (1024), he rose up with Ernst II , Duke of Swabia against his successor Conrad II , but then submitted and married Konrad's sister-in-law, Mathilde von Schwaben (* probably 988, † 29 July 1031/1032), daughter of Duke Hermann II of Swabia and the Gerberga of Burgundy , sister of Empress Gisela and widow of Duke Conrad I of Carinthia .

Frederick II died in 1026, before his father; Mathilde married Esiko , Count von Ballenstedt , Count in Schwabengau and in Gau Serimunt , † probably in 1059/1060 , in her third marriage .
