Friedrich II. (Bar)
Friedrich II. († 1026 ) from the Wigeriche family was Count von Bar and Duke of Upper Lorraine .
He was the son of Duke Dietrich I († 1026/1027) and Richilde von Blieskastel . In 1019 his father made him his co-regent . After the death of Emperor Heinrich II (1024), he rose up with Ernst II , Duke of Swabia against his successor Conrad II , but then submitted and married Konrad's sister-in-law, Mathilde von Schwaben (* probably 988, † 29 July 1031/1032), daughter of Duke Hermann II of Swabia and the Gerberga of Burgundy , sister of Empress Gisela and widow of Duke Conrad I of Carinthia .
Children of Friedrich and Mathilde were:
- Sophia († 1093), as a widow Countess von Mousson , in Amance , Bar and Saargemünd ; ⚭ 1037 Ludwig von Mousson , Count, castellanus von Mömpelgard , Altkirch and Pfirt ( House Scarponnois )
- Friedrich III. , Count von Bar, Duke of Upper Lorraine (1027-1033)
- Beatrix († 1076), ⚭ I 1037 Bonifatius von Canossa , Margrave of Tuscien († 1052) - the parents of Mathilde of Tuszien ; ⚭ II 1054 Gottfried III. the bearded Duke of Lower Lorraine († 1069)
Frederick II died in 1026, before his father; Mathilde married Esiko , Count von Ballenstedt , Count in Schwabengau and in Gau Serimunt , † probably in 1059/1060 , in her third marriage .
