Friedrich Karl Heinrich Otto Gebhardt

Friedrich Karl Heinrich Otto Gebhardt (born May 1, 1827 in Georgenthal ; † September 30, 1888 in Stadtlengsfeld ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a pastor, Gebhardt went to high school in Gotha , which he left as Primus Omnium to study law in Jena . During his studies in 1846 he became a member of the fraternity on the Burgkeller . After his exams in 1851, he was admitted to the office in Friedrichswerth and in 1853 secretary of the ducal judicial college in Gotha. In 1854 he became an official actuary in Volkenroda and in 1855 in Tonna . In 1855 he became government secretary in the ducal state ministry in Gotha and in 1862 district office assistant in Ohrdruf . In 1872 he was Councilor , 1875 Lecturer Council and 1879 Privy Councilor . In 1881 he became a member of the entire ministry and in 1883 he became a state councilor and head of the 3rd department of the ducal state ministry in Gotha, where he was responsible for church, school and railway systems. As state commissioner he was responsible for the Werra Railway and a member of the Board of Directors of the Werra Railway Company . He was also chairman and honorary member of the municipal art and trade association.

From 1868 to 1874 he was a member of the state parliaments for the Duchy of Coburg-Gotha .
