Friedrich Karl Christian Kiefer (born January 14, 1830 in Mappach (Efringen-Kirchen) , † September 2, 1895 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German lawyer and member of the Reichstag .

Life

Kiefer studied law in Heidelberg from 1850 to 1854 and was a member (sp. Honorary member) of the Corps Suevia since 1850 .

State and judicial service

After completing his studies and training as a trainee teacher, he entered the civil service and became a public prosecutor in Offenburg . Appointed to the Baden Ministry of Justice in 1866 (Ministerialrat 1867), he was given a post for political reasons . Government council moved to the General Directorate of the Transport Authorities. In 1868 he resigned from civil service and settled in Offenburg as a lawyer .

In 1870 he became senior public prosecutor in Mannheim , in 1879 regional court director in Freiburg im Breisgau and in 1884 regional court president in Constance .

Parliamentarians

Kiefer was a member of the Baden state parliament from 1865 to 1894 and a member of the Reichstag from 1871 to 1884 . In the state parliament he represented the electoral districts Oberamt Lahr (1865–1870), Lahr district (1871–1872), Lahr district and old people's home (1873–1879) and the city of Karlsruhe (1879–1894). In the Reichstag he represented the constituency of the Grand Duchy of Baden 6 (Ettenheim - Lahr - Wolfach) from 1871 to 1874 and the constituency of the Grand Duchy of Baden 13 (Sinsheim - Bretten - Eppingen - Wiesloch) in the Reichstag from 1877 to 1884. He belonged to the faction of the National Liberal Party . He was considered an excellent popular speaker.
