Friedrich Martin (politician)

Friedrich ("Fritz") Martin (* 1902 ; † after 1952) was a German politician ( KPD / SED / DBD ) and functionary ( VdgB ). He was chairman of the DBD regional association of Saxony .

Life

The trained farmer Martin became a member of the KPD in 1928. In 1945 he was a board member of the district soil commission in the Leipzig district before taking on a new construction position . He was the trustee of the former manor Biagosch near Merkwitz . Since 1945 he belonged to the Association of Mutual Peasant Aid (VdgB) and the district executive of the KPD, from 1946 to the district executive of the SED. In 1945 he was mayor of Merkwitz and in the same year became first chairman of the Leipzig district leadership of the VdgB. From 1947 to 1951 he was a member of the State Board of Saxony of the VdgB, from 1949 to 1951 he was also a member of the central board of the VdgB. In 1948 he was one of the co-founders of the DBD at state and zone level. From June 1948 to 1951 he was first chairman of the DBD regional association of Saxony and a member of the party executive committee of the DBD.

From 1948 to 1950 Martin was also a member of the People's Council , from 1950 of the People's Chamber and from January 1950 a member of the Saxon State Parliament . In the state parliament he worked from 1950 to September 1951 as parliamentary group leader of the DBD.

In the spring of 1953 he moved to the Federal Republic of Germany .
