Frillesås is a place ( Tatort ) in the Swedish province of Halland County and in the historic province of Halland .
The town with almost 3000 inhabitants (2015) is mainly located in the municipality of Kungsbacka , about 25 km south of Kungsbacka on the Kattegat . Since the merger with the previously independent Löftaskog in 2015, part of the crime scene has been on the territory of the southern neighboring municipality of Varberg (589 inhabitants on an area of 204 hectares , 2015).
The Västkustbanan runs through the village , but there is no stopping point in the village. The European route 6 between Helsingborg and Gothenburg runs west of Frillesås.
Sweden's first Baptist baptism took place in Frillesås in 1848 . There is a Baptist memorial church in Frillesås.
The majority of working people today commute mainly to Gothenburg.
