Fritz Bischoff (soccer player)

Fritz Bischoff (born July 3, 1949 ) is a former German soccer player and coach . As a player, he rose to the Bundesliga in 1977 with TSV 1860 Munich . As a coach, he mainly worked in the amateur field and was runner-up in the Bayern League in 1987 with the amateurs of FC Bayern Munich .

career

As a player, Fritz Bischoff was active at MSV Duisburg , Wacker Burghausen and TSV 1860 Munich. With the Munich Lions he was third in the 1973/74 Regional League season behind FC Augsburg and 1. FC Nürnberg . As a professional, Fritz Bischoff hardly got beyond the reserve existence in the 1970s as a second division player in 1860. In the second division season 1976/77 he celebrated promotion to the Bundesliga with Munich and made 15 season appearances .

Following his playing career, Bischoff switched to the coaching business and initially took over the amateurs from 1860, later he became player-coach in the Oberliga Nordrhein at Olympia Bocholt . In the 1980s, he initially worked as an association trainer for the soccer associations of Rhineland and Schleswig-Holstein .

In 1987 Fritz Bischoff reached the final of the German amateur championship with the amateurs of Bayern Munich . A little later, Bischoff became coach of the U15 national team at the German Football Association and also looked after the DFB youngsters at the U17 World Cup in Italy in 1991 . In the summer of 1994 he became a coach at the Westphalian regional league club Preußen Münster and in 1996 at 1. FC Bocholt . Both engagements failed after only one season.

Afterwards, Bischoff worked as a freelance worker at FIFA and gave lectures abroad before entering the consultancy business. He acted as a player advisor for Jens Nowotny , Daniel Bierofka , Andreas Görlitz , Daniel Felgenhauer , Alexander Bugera , Max Eberl and Ralf Keidel , among others .
