Fritz Links
Frederick "Fritz" links (* 24. September 1896 in Vienna , Austria-Hungary ; † 9. April 1976 in East Berlin ) was a from Austria derived, but mainly in the Democratic German Republic active actor and voice actor .
Life
Left made his acting debut at the Neue Wiener Bühne . Afterwards he was seen on various German stages, also worked as a director and returned to Austria in 1932, where he worked in direction and acting in Linz . After 1945 he worked as an actor in Vienna. After the end of the New Theater in Scala Wien, he went to the GDR at the German Theater in the mid-1950s . Here he worked until the end of his life.
Links appeared as a film actor primarily in productions from the GDR, including in well-known films such as Weg über Land , Tecumseh and Jakob the Liar . His filmography, which comprises over 40 works, also includes other literary adaptations such as Mr. Puntila and his servant Matti , Die Weber , Neuland unterm Pflug and Woyzeck . He was also active as a voice actor, including in several fairy tale films .
