Old school in Weißenbrunn

Froschgrund was a municipality in the district of Coburg , Upper Franconia , Bavaria . The administrative seat was Weißenbrunn.

history

The community of Froschgrund was created on January 1, 1971 through the merger of the previously independent communities Fischbach , Fornbach , Mittelberg , Schönstädt , Waltersdorf and Weißenbrunn vorm Wald .

In 1975 the Upper Franconian government announced plans to incorporate Froschgrund into Rödental. In a public survey, 705 out of 713 citizens voted for independence. A petition to the Bavarian State Parliament , a lawsuit before the Bavarian Administrative Court and a constitutional lawsuit at the Federal Constitutional Court were unsuccessful.

On May 1, 1978, the community was dissolved and incorporated into the Rödental community , which was elevated to a town on September 23, 1988 .
