Förnbach is a district of the Upper Bavarian town of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm , which borders the district town in the northeast.

history

The village on the Ilm is first mentioned in the year 1000 as Ferinpac . Later on, Förnbach belonged to the Freising Cathedral Chapter, which in 1402 sold it to Heinrich von Preysing zu Wolnzach . The Hofmark then passed to the Counts of Törring , who with the Hofmark Pörnbach owned a complex consisting of nine originally independent court brands. The administrative center of the court brands Pörnbach, Euernbach , Göbelsbach , Tegernbach , Ritterswörth , Burgstall , Eschelbach , Förnbach and Puch, which had been the patrimonial courts of the Counts of Törring-Jettenbach since 1819/20 , was in Pörnbach. Patrimonial jurisdiction was abolished in the revolution of 1848 . The community , founded in 1818 with the Bavarian community edict, also included the places Altkaslehen, Frechmühle, Riedhof, Seugen, Streitdorf and Thalhof. Förnbach has been part of Pfaffenhofen since the municipal reform that came into force on January 1, 1972.

Since 1402 there is evidence of the women's worship on the Assumption of Mary in Förnbach. The last Dult for the time being took place on August 21, 2011.

Attractions

The parish church of the Assumption dates from the 15th century, the cemetery wall from the 18th / 19th century. Century.

A so-called beaver nature trail leads from Pfaffenhofen to Förnbach and the German Alpine Association maintains the Holledauer Hut here .

In Förnbacher forest a wind turbine is planned.
