This article covers the Soviet national team at the 1964 European Football Championship .

qualification

The Soviet Union reached the preliminary round by a bye . In the round of 16, the team played against Italy and won the first leg 2-0. The second leg ended 1: 1. In the quarter-finals they met Sweden. The first leg in Sweden ended 1-1 and the second leg was won 3-1.
