The Fuchsbartl-Banda is an Austrian folk music group founded in 1986 from the Graz-Umgebung district and the OberGraz region ( Deutschfeistritz , Frohnleiten and Stiwoll ).

history

The Fuchsbartl-Banda was founded in the summer of 1986 by Albin Wiesenhofer from Peggau (today Deutschfeistritz) and Harald Sukic from Deutschfeistritz (today Stiwoll). In the same year, Wolfgang Osenjak from Deutschfeistritz joined the group as the third member. This line-up was played until 1991. Then Wolfgang Weingerl from Frohnleiten joined as the fourth musician. In 1999 the quartet with Jacob Moises out was Voitsberg expanded to a quintet. After Wolfgang Osenjak left in 2002, the Fuchsbartl Banda continued to play in the quartet line-up. In 2003 Jakob Moises left the group and the Fuchsbartl Banda played with a bass player from Carinthia. Since 2008, Clemens Wiesenhofer is the 2nd generation of musicians to play in the Fuchsbartl Banda.

In 2000 the Fuchsbartl-Banda took part in the 98th episode of the ORF folk music series Klingendes Österreich in Salzburg.

In 2007 they appeared in the 150th episode of the ORF folk music series Klingendes Österreich . On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, the history of the Banda was shown in the upholstered cinema in Ligist .
