Fulgens corona

On September 8, 1953 , Pope Pius XII published the encyclical Fulgens corona ( Latin for the shining crown ) for the hundredth anniversary of the proclamation of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception of Mary.

The dogma about the assumption of Mary into heaven

On November 1, 1950 , Pope Pius XII proclaimed. the dogma of the Assumption of Mary into heaven , previously he had obtained the opinion and opinion of the bishops with the encyclical Deiparae Virginis Mariae of May 1, 1946.

With this encyclical he suggested the proclamation of a Marian year in 1954 in order to emphasize the extraordinary holiness of the Mother of Christ , as expressed in the mysteries of her conception without blemish of original sin and her acceptance into heaven.
