Career

As a player

Fumaça played for the Brazilian club AE Catuense until the summer of 1998 . In the summer of 1998 he moved to the English second division club Birmingham City . However, it was not used there. In early March 1999, he moved to the third division Colchester United , where he came to an employment. A month later he moved to the second division club Barnsley FC , where he did not play again. In the summer of 1999 he then moved to league rivals Crystal Palace and came to three missions before Fumaça was obliged in September 1999 by the first division club Newcastle United . For this he came to five missions in the English House of Lords by the end of the 1999/2000 season .

In the summer of 2000, his contract was not renewed and Fumaça was without a club. In January 2001 he returned to Brazil to his former club AE Catuense, which has been called Catuense Futebol since 2001. After a year he moved to America FC . After half a year at this club and half a year at Caxias FC, Fumaça returned to Catuense Futebol in January 2003.

In September 2004 he moved to Europe for the second time . This time he signed a contract with the Czech first division club 1. FK Drnovice . Fumaça came to ten missions and scored one goal. However, the club rose after a license waiver in the second division .

Then Fumaça moved to Germany . He signed a contract with the top division Türkiyemspor Berlin . In the 2005/06 season he came to 15 missions and scored two goals. In May 2006 he completed a trial training at the second division club SC Paderborn 07 , which then took him under contract in June 2006 for a year. However, Fumaça could not prevail and was only once in the squad, but was not used. In January 2007 he therefore moved to the regional league club SV Wilhelmshaven . There he came to ten missions by the end of the 2006/07 season and scored one goal. In the summer of 2007 his contract expired and Fumaça was without a club. For the second half of 2007/08 he returned to Türkiyemspor Berlin in the league. There he came to seven missions. At the end of the season, the club took 3rd place and made it to the regional league.

In the summer of 2008, however, Fumaça ended his active career due to an injury. In March 2010, however, he was still on the pitch in three games for FSV Hansa 07 Berlin in the district league .
