Funky House
Funky House is a genre of house music. The tracks usually don't have too extreme bass lines or endless loops . Often there is also singing (vocals) in the tracks.
Characteristic of Funky House are sampled elements from classics of the 1970s or newly recorded phrases that come very close to the “sound” of the 1970s. The use of so-called loops , i.e. continuously recurring melodies, is also characteristic.
Funky House experienced a real boom from around 2000 , although similar music had existed years before.
Nowadays we usually speak of funky and vocal house when generalized house is mentioned as such. The speed of this house style doesn't deviate much from the often standard 128 BPM .
