Music video
The shooting of Gäa took place in December 2013 in Cape Town , South Africa . As a reason why the video was shot in Cape Town, the singer cited that the “majestic landscapes” of Cape Town reflect exactly what the song is about. During the music video, sections of the various types of landscape in Cape Town can be seen and Oonagh can be seen singing her song in the midst of these landscapes.
The music video premiered on January 24, 2014, two days earlier Oonagh published a making of for the video shoot Gäas on Facebook and YouTube . The shooting dragged on over two days and in addition to the music video for Gäa , a music video for the song Orome was shot at the same time . The total length of the video is 4:04 minutes. Directed by Sören Schaller.

criticism
Gäa , like the piece Orome from the same album, was the subject of a controversial discussion among Tolkien fans. While some advocated the linguistic and content-related reference to Sindarin and Quenya, as well as the book The Silmarillion , the critics accused the project of making Tolkien's work insignificant and misusing it for commercial purposes.
Charts and chart placements
Due to the high number of downloads, Gäa reached the German single charts for the first time on February 28, 2014, even before it was officially released as a single . The song reached position 67 and stayed in the charts for a total of four weeks. For Delliponti this is already the sixth chart success in the German single charts. It is the first single in seven years to make it onto the charts.
