history

The ship was ordered by the mechanical engineering department for the Stralsund Waterways and Shipping Authority at the time. It was built under the construction number 154 at the Genthin shipyard of SET Schiffbau- u. Development company Tangermünde built. The keel was laid on May 20, 2003, the launch on September 25, 2004. The ship, which was commissioned on December 6, 2004, was completed on December 3 of that year. The construction of the ship cost around 3.7 million euros.

The ship is used on the Baltic Sea , the Greifswalder Bodden , the Peenestrom and the Stettiner Haff for laying out, retrieving and checking floating nautical signs as well as bearings and water and hydrological work. It is also used for the transport of people and materials as well as supervision and control trips. The ship can also be used for towing smaller vehicles.

The hull is reinforced with ice, and the ship is classified as ice class "E1" so that it can also be used for ice breaking. Ice can be broken up to a thickness of 30 cm at a constant speed of 2 kn.

Technical data and equipment

The vessel is powered by two electric motors of the manufacturer Franz Wölfer Elektromaschinenfabrik Osnabrück (type MODRF315M-4bb) with 350  kW power driven. The motors act on two rudder propellers via gears . The ship reaches a speed of 12  knots .

Two generators with an apparent power of 625  kVA are installed to generate electricity . The emergency and harbor generator has an apparent power of 30 kVA.

In the bow of the ship there is a bow thruster with an output of 125 kW.

The deck superstructures are located in the front area of ​​the ship. The bridge house can be lowered hydraulically so that flat bridges can be passed. The clearance height is then 4.20 meters. The working deck of around 96 m² is located in the aft area. The ship is equipped with a deck crane, which is located directly behind the deckhouse. The crane can lift 5.5 t with a 7.2 m outreach. The ship also has a tow hook. The tensile force is 100  kN .
