Günter Tondorf

Günter Tondorf (born July 8, 1934 in Bonn ) is a German legal scholar , specialist lawyer for criminal law and honorary professor at the University of Cologne .

Career

Tondorf's father was a merchant, his mother a housewife. In Bonn- Dottendorf he attended elementary school , then until 1951 the state Beethoven-Gymnasium Bonn . After the family moved, he completed the final years up to his Abitur in 1955 at the Humboldt Gymnasium in Düsseldorf , then Tondorf studied law at the University of Cologne and the Free University of Berlin . In 1961 he entered the legal preparatory service , which took him back to Düsseldorf and also to Rosenheim for the next three years . 1965 Tondorf was with a dissertation on the topic The Sacrifice claim in civil law at Hans Carl Nipperdey at the University of Cologne to Dr. jur. PhD. On May 13, 1966 its approval was as a lawyer . In 1967 Tondorf founded his own law firm in Düsseldorf, for which he still works in an advisory capacity today (as of April 2018). His main focus is on criminal law and law enforcement .

Tondorf was a founding member of Deutsche Strafverteidiger eV in 1974 and of Lawyers for Doctors eV in 1991 and has been an advisory board member of the criminal defense journal since 1991 . He gained notoriety through cases such as For example, Rolf Bossi 's defense of the rapists from Silvia K. , as appointed administrator at the Hermann Niermann Foundation , as defender of Norbert Rüther in the Cologne donation affair , in the drug trial against Jörg Immendorff , in the trial against the fourfold murderer of women Gerhard Manfred Börner 1989, the trial of the fire disaster at Düsseldorf Airport in 1996 . or as defender of the ex- group works council chairman Jürgen Ladberg in the Mannesmann trial .

From 1993 onwards Tondorf was a lecturer for theory and practice of criminal defense at the University of Cologne. In 2000 he was appointed honorary professor at the University of Cologne.

From 2003 to 2009 Tondorf was the scientific director of the Institute for Conflict Research eV in Cologne, of which he was a co-founder in 1976 and which discusses questions of forensic science at interdisciplinary forums in Maria Laach among criminologists, criminal lawyers, forensic psychologists and forensic psychiatrists. Tondorf is also a co-author of Beck's standard book of forms for criminal defense lawyers . In 1980/81 Tondorf was involved in drawing up the draft of a draft law for the execution of measures , and in 1984 he was heard as an expert before the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia on the enactment of the law on the execution of measures for North Rhine-Westphalia.

From 1970 to 1974 Tondorf was a member of the Düsseldorf city council . In the NRW state elections in 1980 , he ran for constituency 49 in Düsseldorf. In 1983 he was a founding member of the Initiativkreis Kultur in Düsseldorf eV, of which he has been a member of the board without interruption. From 1988 he was a board member of the Düsseldorf district association of the workers' welfare for ten years .

Private

Günter Tondorf and Ursula Geck married in May 1964. The couple's daughter, Babette Tondorf, is one of the co-authors of standard legal works together with Günter Tondorf and works as a criminal defense attorney in Hamburg.
