Gabino Miranda Melgarejo

Gabino Miranda Melgarejo (born February 19, 1960 in Piscaya , Peru ) was auxiliary bishop in Ayacucho o Huamanga .

Life

Gabino Miranda Melgarejo received on 17 December 1987 by the sacrament of Holy Orders . He was chaplain in San Jerónimo de Andahuaylas , Curahuasi and Chuluanca, pastor of the cathedral parish of Ayacucho and rector of the local seminary . He was a member of the Priestly Society of the Holy Cross . From 2001 to 2003 he studied at the University of Navarre and obtained a licentiate in theology .

On 3 July 2004. appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Usula and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Ayacucho o Huamanga. The Archbishop of Ayacucho o Huamanga, Luis Abilio Sebastiani Aguirre SM , donated him episcopal ordination on August 21 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Abancay , Isidro Sala Ribera , and the Apostolic Nuncio in Peru, Archbishop Rino Passigato . Gabino Miranda Melgarejo was also Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Ayacucho o Huamanga.

On September 24, 2013, Pope Francis returned him to the laity “for sins against the sixth commandment” . He was accused of asking for "sexual services" in confession from minors.
