content
Action environment and history
The Alice Academy teaches students who have supernatural abilities. These abilities are called Alice like their owner ; it could be telekinesis or the ability to levitate, for example . In rare cases, a student may have two or three of these skills. The aim of the Alice Academy is to train the students in such a way that they can control their powers in order to later use them for society. The school is sealed off from the outside world and there are few external contacts for the students. The teachers therefore also live on the premises of the school, which is located in a large forest in the middle of Tokyo . All of this is intended to protect the students, as the government fears that their powers could be abused. The Alice are divided into five groups, which are separated from one another according to their abilities. The students in the individual groups are housed and taught separately from each other. In the school there are elementary, middle and high schools, in which the students are also hierarchized by star ranks . These can consist of up to three stars or a special rank and indicate how well the Alice masters her powers and how strong they are.
Very little is known about the Alice Academy in the population because of its isolation and various conspiracy theories are circulating. The Company Z wants to eliminate Alice Academy and let the children go to regular schools. According to the organization, the children in the Academy are exploited and badly treated by the state. A member of the organization is the girl Yuka, who entered into a relationship with her teacher during her time at Alice Academy and became pregnant. The teacher was killed and Yuka left the Academy with the help of the teacher's brother and gave birth to the girl Mikan Sakura at her best friend's house, who then grew up with her grandfather in the country.
action
Ten-year-old Mikan Sakura grew up with her grandfather in a small village. When Hotaru Imai joins her class, the two soon become friends. But Hotaru has an inventor Alice and therefore has to go to the Alice Academy soon. Mikan is sad about the loss of her best friend and after a while decides to go to school with the savings of her grandfather Hotaru.
At the gates of the school she meets the teacher Narumi, who believes that Mikan has an Alice. He wants to register Mikan and take her to the headmaster of the school in the main building, but first meets Alice Natsume Hyūga, who is about to flee from school. Narumi speaks to the director and tells Mikan that she has been accepted with reservations. However, it is difficult for her to settle in because Hotaru gives her the cold shoulder and Natsume and Luca, the "panty thieves", are in their class. But when Mikan is attacked by others, Hotaru protects her and they become friends again. But now Natsume demands that Mikan walk through the dangerous northern forest in order to be accepted by the class.
