Gary Harris (born September 14, 1994 in Fishers , Indiana ) is an American basketball player who plays for the Denver Nuggets in the NBA .
Career
Harris initially played college basketball for Michigan State University for two years . In the 2014 NBA draft , he was selected 19th by the Chicago Bulls , but shortly thereafter traded with Jusuf Nurkic for Doug McDermott . In his first year for the Nuggets, Harris saw little playing time and averaged 3.4 points in 55 games. In his second year, he was promoted to starter under the new head coach Michael Malone and made strong progress. He scored 12.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists on average in 76 games.
