Noah Vonleh (born August 24, 1995 in Salem , Massachusetts ) is an American basketball player . He is currently under contract with the Denver Nuggets in the NBA .

Career

college

Vonleh played college basketball for Indiana University for a year . At the Indiana Hoosiers he averaged 11.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks . For this he was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year . Vonleh announced his move to the NBA in April 2014 .

NBA

Despite being seen as one of the top five talent in the 2014 NBA draft , he fell to ninth place where he was selected by the Charlotte Hornets . His first year was mixed. Vonleh completed several games in the D-League development league with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants . The Power Forward played 25 games for the Hornets in its first year and averaged 3.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.

On June 24, 2015 Vonleh and Gerald Henderson were transferred to the Portland Trail Blazers for Nicolas Batum . There he played until he was given up on February 8, 2018 for the draft rights to Milovan Raković and a cash payment to the Chicago Bulls .

Vonleh was under contract with the New York Knicks in the 2018/19 NBA season .
