Gary Rogers (born September 25, 1981 in Navan , Meath ) is an Irish football goalkeeper who has been under contract with the domestic first division club Dundalk FC since 2015 .

Career

In the 2012 season, Gary Rogers moved from St Patrick's Athletic to Sligo Rovers and won the league of Ireland championship with his new club in his first season . A year later he was able to win the FAI Cup with the team from Sligo . After failing to win a title in the 2014 season, Rogers moved to reigning champions Dundalk FC and was able to defend the title in the 2015 and 2016 seasons . By winning the FAI Cup, the team from Dundalk won the double in 2015.

With the championship in 2015, Gary Rogers and his team secured participation in the second qualifying round for the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League . They were able to advance to the qualifying round, where they were defeated by Legia Warsaw . They did not qualify for the group stage in the Champions League , but in the Europa League . Rogers made his Europa League debut on September 15, 2016 in a 1-1 draw against AZ Alkmaar .
