Gasthaus Lamm (Kalbensteinberg)
The Gasthaus Lamm in Kalbensteinberg , a district of the Absberg community in the Weissenburg-Gunzenhausen district in Central Franconia , was dendrochronologically dated 1612/13. The former inn (house number 61), which is located in a prominent position in the village across from the rectory on a road extension on the way to the church, is on the list of protected architectural monuments in Bavaria.
The two-storey saddle roof building in a corner position with an upper storey and a gable with a rich framework was probably built on behalf of the Rieter patrician family . The plastered ground floor has grooved window frames. There are several hatches in the gable that allowed the hops to dry .
Between 1986 and 1993 the building, which belongs to the Kalbensteinberg ensemble , was extensively renovated.
