The Geestweg is a 177 km long cycle and hiking trail in western Lower Saxony , which starts in Meppen in the Emsland and leads in a north-easterly direction through the Oldenburger Münsterland and the Wildeshauser Geest Nature Park to Bremen . It conveys to the cyclist and the hiker characteristic natural and cultural-historical features of the geest landscape of north-west Germany between the Ems and Weser .

Signposted in both directions, because of the flat terrain, it makes no particular demands on physical fitness, even if not all of the mostly low-traffic routes are paved or asphalted. Alternatively, the path can already be started in Emmen in the Netherlands, then has a length of 205 km.

The Geestweg is one of the hiking trails that are maintained by the Wiehengebirgsverband Weser-Ems . Traditionally, the Geestweg is marked by a white stone grave or a white "G"; For some time now, the logo has been a square sign with a winding, brown path on a white background that crosses a river and a meadow.
