Violinist (musician)
Geiger or violinist is the name of a musician , the violin playing, regardless of whether Classical , jazz , folk , folk or popular music is and whether, chamber music and orchestral musicians perform as soloists.

The students of the next generation include violinists such as Yehudi Menuhin , Fritz Kreisler , Jascha Heifetz , Arthur Grumiaux , Isaac Stern , David Oistrach and Henryk Szeryng , who in turn taught today's generation of violinists.
In the 20th century, different styles developed, which brought forth jazz violinists such as Stéphane Grappelli and Helmut Zacharias or the (standing violinist ) André Rieu, who is in the tradition of the coffee house violinist . David Garrett was able to place himself in the German charts as a violinist. There are also talented violinists in the field of Irish Celtic music.
Since the 1960s, baroque violinists have made a name for themselves in the field of classical music, making music based on the knowledge of historical performance practice .
