Systematics and distribution

The first publication took place in 1753 under the name ( Basionym ) Solidago doronicum by Carl von Linné . The new combination to Senecio doronicum (L.) L. was published in 1759 by Carl von Linné. Other synonyms for Senecio doronicum (L.) L. are: Senecio longipetalus Sennen , Senecio rotundifolius Lapeyr. non stokes .

One can distinguish the following subspecies:

  • Senecio doronicum (L.) L. subsp. doronicum
  • Senecio doronicum subsp. longifolius (Willk.) J. Calvo (Syn .: Senecio doronicum var. longifolius Willk. ): It occurs in Spain , France and Switzerland .
  • Senecio doronicum subsp. orientalis J. Calvo (Syn .: Senecio orientalis Ten. non Willd. ): The distribution area includes Germany , Austria , Italy and the former Yugoslavia .
  • Senecio doronicum subsp. transylvanicus (Boiss.) Nyman (Syn .: Senecio transylvanicus Boiss. , Senecio glaberrimus (Rochel) Simonk. non DC. , Senecio doronicum subsp. glaberrimus (Rochel) Kožuharov & N.Andreev ): It comes in Bulgaria , Romania and Macedonia before .

Depending on the author, the following can no longer be classified as a subspecies of Senecio doronicum :

  • Senecio doronicum subsp. lagascanus (DC.) Vigo => Senecio lagascanus DC.
  • Senecio doronicum subsp. lusitanicus Cout. => Senecio lusitanicus (Cout.) Pérez-Romero
