Georg Kilian Pflaum OFM ( spa .: Jorge Chiliano Pflaum , born September 21, 1913 in Lembach , Lower Franconia ; † September 18, 1971 in Schönbrunn im Steigerwald , Bamberg district ) was a Roman Catholic religious and apostolic vicar of Ñuflo de Chávez .

Life

Georg Kilian Pflaum joined the Congregation of the Franciscan (OFM) at and received on 11 September 1938, the sacrament of Holy Orders . He studied and obtained his doctorate in Rome.

Pope Pius XII appointed him on November 16, 1953 as the first Vicar Apostolic of the two years earlier established Vicariate Apostolic Ñuflo de Chávez and titular Bishop of Iziriana . He received his episcopal ordination from the Apostolic Nuncio in Bolivia, Archbishop Sergio Pignedoli , on February 14 of the following year; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Cochabamba , Juan Tarsicio Senner, OFM, and the Vicar Apostolic of Chiquitos , José Calasanz Rosenhammer, OFM.

He attended the first, second and fourth sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.

Georg Kilian Pflaum is buried in St. George's Church, Lembach .
