Georg von Bruchwitz

Georg von Bruchwitz , also Georg von Brauchitsch (* May 1517 in Oberau near Lüben , Lower Silesia ; † November 27, 1605 in Neudorf near Nimptsch ( Niemcza ) in Lower Silesia) was Pomeranian Councilor in Stettin with Duke Johann Friedrich (Pomerania) . Von Bruchwitz had the evangelical confession. In Silesian literature he was referred to as a benefactor of the Church. For his services he received an epitaph that could be seen in the Evangelical Church of Lüben at the time

Life

Bruchwitz came from the Silesian nobility of those von Brauchitsch . He was a son of Hieronymus von Brauchitsch († 1539, Oberau, Lower Silesia) and Hedwig, née von Dornheim († 1558). As Ducal Pomeranian Council, he was in the service of Duke Johann_Friedrich_ (Pomerania) . In February 1598 von Bruchwitz was a participant in the funeral service of Elector Johann Georg von Brandenburg (1525–1598). During the funeral procession, von Bruchwitz and the Pomeranian Councilor Wilhelm von Kleist accompanied Princess Katharina Ursula von Sachsen-Lauenburg (1580–1611). On February 17th, 1600 Georg von Bruchwitz took part in the funeral service of Duke of Pomerania Johann Friedrich in the castle church of Stettin .

Georg von Bruchwitz was the sixth of seven children. His first marriage was to Dora, née von Berg († 1607). The second wife of Georg von Bruchwitz was the widow Von Sebottendorf - Barbara, née von Bielitz. They married after January 1591. One of Georg von Bruchwitz's sons was Johannes von Brauchwitz (von Brauchitsch ) * 1590 in Broslawitz , district Kopinitz (Koppinitz), near Beuthen ( Bytom ) in Upper Silesia, † 1684 in Piskowitz (Priestewitz) , in Saxony .
