Georg von Fewson

Georg von Fewson (born December 26, 1863 in St. Petersburg , † unknown) was a German local politician. From 1896 to 1903 he was the Lord Mayor of Apolda and Eisenach in Thuringia .

Life

Von Fewson was the son of the Imperial Russian State Councilor Henry Charles von Fewson and the Russian noblewoman Sophie Trubetzkoi. During his studies he became a member of the Academic Liedertafel Berlin in the Sondershäuser Association in 1883/84 . From 1896 to 1900 von Fewson was Lord Mayor of Apolda . On November 15, 1900, he took up the post of mayor in Eisenach. After irregularities in his administration became known, which resulted in legal proceedings, was removed from office on September 25, 1903 by Fewson.

Von Fewson was married to Frieda Amalie Langheinrich from 1892. After his time as a local politician in Thuringia, he lived in Berlin-Schmargendorf; nothing is known about his further life.
