Georg von Knebel Doeberitz

Georg Philipp Albert Bernhard von Knebel Doeberitz (born January 20, 1810 at Gut Friedrichshöh, Dramburg district , †  May 4, 1880 at Gut Zülshagen , Dramburg district) was a Prussian district administrator and politician.

Georg von Knebel Doeberitz came from a Frankish family, in the July 3, 1581 Nuremberg a hofpfalzgräflichen crest letter received; he was the son of the landowner and district deputy Ludwig von Knebel (1783–1840), landlord on Groß-Grünow and from 1819 on Friedrichsdorf with Klestin, Brandenbrück, Luisenau, Ludwigsberg, Marienau bei Wusterwitz, Zetzin, Klebow and Dalow with Martha and Kotzbahn ( all district of Dramburg), and Wilhelmine von Wolden (1785–1867). Grandfather Georg Knebel , margravial Brandenburg-Ansbach privy councilor , was raised to the Prussian nobility on December 4, 1756 in Berlin with a confirmation of the coat of arms , and on October 15, 1806 in Berlin, father Ludwig von Knebel received permission for the Prussian name and coat of arms association with the name “von Knebel Doeberitz ” .

Knebel Doeberitz married on September 29, 1843 in Stargard Adelheid von Wedel (born November 25, 1823 at Gut Cremzow; † January 25, 1903 in Berlin), the daughter of the royal Prussian cavalry master and landowner Lupold von Wedel (born February 11, 1771; † May 18, 1839), landlord on Cremzow, and Henriette von Vormann (* June 8, 1787; † January 29, 1847). His son was the royal Prussian major Ludwig von Knebel Doeberitz (1844–1900).

He was the uncle of the knighthood council Gebhard von Knebel Doeberitz (1848–1921).

Life

Knebel Doeberitz studied at the University of Bonn and became a member of the Corps Borussia there in 1832 . He was a landlord on Zülshagen and Dalow (Dramburg district). From 1834 to 1863 he was district administrator of the Dramburg district in the province of Pomerania . He was then a Prussian government councilor . He was a legal knight of the Order of St. John .

In the 6th legislative period of 1862 Knebel sat as a member of the constituency of Breslau 5 in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party . From 1876 to 1880 was a member of the Prussian manor house .
