George Njaralakatt

George Njaralakatt (born June 23, 1946 in Kalayanthany , India ) is Archbishop of Tellicherry .

Life

George Njaralakatt received the sacrament of ordination for the Tellicherry eparchy on December 20, 1971 . On March 1, 1973 he was incardinated in the clergy of the Mananthavady eparchy and on August 27, 2007 in the clergy of the Bhadravathi eparchy .

On January 18, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the first bishop of the Mandya eparchy, which was established on the same date . The Archbishop of Tellicherry, George Valiamattam , donated him episcopal ordination on April 7th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the retired Archbishop of Trichur , Jacob Thoomkuzhy , and the Bishop of Mananthavady , José Porunnedom .

On August 29, 2014, his appointment as Archbishop of Tellicherry was announced by the Grand Archbishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly , George Cardinal Alencherry .
