Georgina Rono (born May 19, 1980 ) is a Kenyan marathon runner .

In 2008 she was fourth in the Prague Marathon and fifth in the Ljubljana Marathon . In 2009 she finished second in the Alexander the Great Marathon and sixth in the Frankfurt Marathon in 2:31:49 hours. The following year she finished second in the Marrakech Marathon in 2:34:53 hours and third in the Maratona d'Italia in 2:30:55 hours.

In 2011 she finished fourth in the Rabat half marathon and won the Hanover marathon in 2:31:19 hours. A second place in Carinthia in summer was followed by a course record of 2:24:33 hours in the Eindhoven marathon in autumn . In 2012 she was third in the Boston Marathon in 2:33:09 hours and second in the Frankfurt Marathon in a personal best of 2:21:39 hours . She also won the Udine half marathon and increased her best over this distance to 1:07:58 hours.

At the Nagoya Marathon 2013, Rono did not finish the race. She achieved top placements this season at smaller events, including second places at the half marathons in San Diego and Nairobi. In 2014 she won the Hamburg Marathon with a time of 2:26:47 hours. The following year, she finished third in the Lanzhou Marathon and second in the Nairobi Marathon . In 2016 she won the Taiyuan marathon in 2:32:56 hours, and in 2017 the Doha Marathon in 2:38:14 hours.
