Gerhard Prokop (born May 18, 1939 in Gladbeck ; † January 24, 2002 ) was a German football player and coach .

He played (with a four and a half year break) as a goalkeeper from 1963 to 1976 in the Bundesliga , the 2nd Bundesliga and the Regionalliga West for Alemannia Aachen . Gerhard Prokop played 53 Bundesliga games, 17 in the 2nd Bundesliga North and 129 games in the Regionalliga West.

Since 1976 he has worked as a trainer .
