from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gerhard (Ernst) Bosinski (born October 22, 1911 in Hammer (Netzekreis) , † April 12, 1985 in Berlin ) was a German Protestant theologian .

Life

Gerhard Bosinski grew up in Mecklenburg . He studied theology at the University of Rostock . In 1937 he passed his first ecclesiastical exam and began a vicariate in Gadebusch . He had contacts with the Confessing Church and in 1936 refused to take his second ecclesiastical examination in Mecklenburg because of the proximity of the Mecklenburg regional church to the German Christians . He passed the exam in Hanover. But it was not recognized by the Mecklenburg regional church, so that he was not given a pastor's position. In 1936 he was appointed vicar to manage the parish of Woosten . Because of his critical attitude towards the church leadership, this position was terminated in 1939 and a further position in the Mecklenburg regional church was excluded, so that he and his wife and two children were faced with poverty. The evacuation of the apartment, which was also terminated, was prevented by his conscription to the Wehrmacht , in which he served as a soldier and later as a military pastor.

After the Second World War he became a cathedral preacher at Güstrow Cathedral , where he was primarily involved in youth work, which earned him the distrust of the GDR authorities. However, he was able to continue his career in the church and in 1959 became state superintendent of the Stargard parish in Neustrelitz . In 1967 he was at the Theological Faculty of the University of Rostock with the work The literature Joachim Slüters Dr. theol. PhD .

In 1968 he was appointed director of the Internal Mission and Aid Organization, which was merged in 1975 in the EKD's Diaconal Work . In 1976 Gerhard Bosinski retired and was succeeded by Ernst Petzold .

Gerhard Bosinski and his wife Ilse Bosinski had eight children. His eldest son is the prehistorian Gerhard Bosinski , his youngest son the sex medicine specialist Hartmut Bosinski . Ilse Bosinski wrote down her experiences at the side of her husband in the autobiography Bitter or Suss .
