Gersin Livia Paya (born February 11, 1987 in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee , Carinthia ) is an Austrian photographer , director , actress , presenter and journalist .

Life

In 2005 Paya played the leading role in Flo Lackner's film " Tag8-forgotten ...". The film was u. a. in New Zealand in cinemas with English subtitles. She was the face of an Austria-wide anti- drug - commercials , which was shown in all cinemas. In 2006 she graduated from Westland High School in New Zealand. When she returned to Austria and began studying communication sciences and German studies , she became a permanent member of the Austrian DJ / VJ collective ETEPETETE and accompanied them photographically throughout Austria and Barcelona .

At the same time, she worked in 2008 as a member of the editorial team on the program HiSociety for the private television broadcaster ATV . In 2010 she started working for the Austrian VICE . She also photographs for the former Monopol publishing house , which runs the magazines Biorama , thegap , TBA and many more. issues.

She moved to Berlin to study TV and radio journalism at HDPK and shortly afterwards became editor-in-chief and presenter of the Hamburg format Germanfashion.tv. She interviewed top models like Franziska Knuppe and designer Kilian Kerner. She followed her career with the US media group VIACOM and became a producer, editor and content manager for the German TV channels VIVA and MTV until she moved to Comedy Central in Amsterdam. During this time she conducted the last interview with the German wolf researcher Werner Freund before his death. She also produced music videos for the Austrian singer SOIA, the deep house DJ Joyce Muniz and the garage rock duo Snøffeltøffs.

She moderated the pilot of the programs "Talk on Tour" and "Butterbrot und Peitsche", in which she met and interviewed artists and musicians. For the American market, she hosted a VICE US program in which she met Werner Freund and his wolves. She works for advertising campaigns for District MTV, VIVA and the fashion label "55DSL" from Diesel and works for Viacom . She lives and works in Berlin.
